Bob's Sprite

This car is a reluctant sale as I can garage and drive only one classic sports car. This Sprite has provided me  with very enjoyable driving, including frequent trips to work for over 20 Years. It has very recently had the rear springs replaced and some rust behind the seats removed. Other major fairly recent work includes the front shocks, a gear cog, and paintwork. Regular and other work has included clutch, radiator, brakes, head etc, etc.

Over the years it has been maintained in a good usable condition. It  is certainly not concourse, nor likely to be.  As an example while a very early number the windshield does not have the studs for that  type of model but the more common later version. Repairs and  replacements have been as sympathetic/like original  as economically possible, but no attempt has been made to keep them 'original'.  For  example the new rear springs have a different physical structure to the originals.

The heater has been very useful in the cold Canberra winter mornings but is from a later car. Some more non mechanical  maintenance would improve the presentation. It has lap belts fitted  and this has worn the seats.

Some spare parts, including a bumper bar are included.  The bumper bar would require a rechrome to get it to the  same standard as the rest of the car.

The car is currently being stored and driven with  enjoyment by a friend and inspection etc is invited but this needs to be arranged to suit the 'Bindi Minder'.
